Vasoptic Medical impresses at ARVO 2017

May 7th - 11th, Baltimore, MD: Vasoptic Medical Inc. (VMI) takes pride in having actively participated in the annual meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO 2017) which attracted more than 11,000 attendees from over 45 countries to the Baltimore Convention Center this May. VMI took this opportunity to publicly launch its XyCAM ID System, and to introduce the system’s core capabilities and enabling features to the ophthalmic research community. VMI’s vibrant booth and powerful visualizations drew the attention of several top research institutions and companies, and boosted VMI’s visibility both domestically and internationally. In particular, there was excitement about the ability of VMI’s technology to dynamically measure retinal blood flow with high temporal resolution, an aspect that offers a clear advantage over other contemporary technologies such as OCT angiography. A poster reporting the results of clinical investigation of the XyCAM ID System was also presented as part of the scientific sessions by our President, Dr. Abhishek Rege. He is confident that “dynamic and continuous measurement of retinal blood flow is the next frontier for retinal imaging, and may hold the key to the understanding and early diagnosis of multiple ophthalmic and systemic diseases.” This milestone is viewed as significant, and the company plans to continue to capitalize on this success as it works towards seeking FDA clearance for product roll-out.
