Medical-device startup Vasoptic Medical Inc. is moving its headquarters to Baltimore’s Locust Point neighborhood as the company continues to move its eye imaging technology closer to market.
Vasoptic is relocating from a 900-square-foot office in Columbia to a 2,200-square-foot office in the old Philips building at 1215 E. Fort Ave. in Locust Point. The move is made possible in part by a $250,000 investment from the Abell Foundation.
“As a highly innovative company focused on improving the quality of accessible healthcare, Vasoptic is a great example of the type of company we want to see locate in Baltimore,” Robert C. Embry, Jr., president of the Abell Foundation, said in a statement.
